DESIGN & PROTOTYPE
We believe that every successful project (especially complicated ones) must first exist as a successful CAD model. In our experience, it is far better to prove the functionality of a design digitally before we start a physical build. Learning everything that we can about a problem in the CAD environment ensures greater project effeciency and reduced R & D expense. Creating a CAD model from a conversation or sketch also helps to increase our customer's understanding of a project's complexity, look and cost long before fabrication begins. Below are a few examples of this process.
Here we have a TV lift mechanism created specifically for the challenge of stowing a 65" TV in a 14' ceiling with limited space for the mechanism.

Not just a simple "crash box", this container was designed to safely house a cinema camera from harm when filming scenes involving explosions, car crashes, or other dangerous elements that may threaten the integrity of a very expensive and fragile piece of film equpment.
This clamp mechanism allows an industrial storage rack to double as a bicycle repair stand
This monitor stand is a rework of a design for a customer who had a good solution, but was seeking an additional level of refinement.
One of our earliest CAD models, this matte box adapter added a degree of adjustability to a situation that had previously had none.
One of the biggeset challenges in using old equipment is compatibility. This "bash ring" allows for a single chain ring setup on a mountain bike that had not been originally designed for it.
Radio controlled cars are a ton of fun! No longer is "nitro" king, however. This battery mounting tray is a key component in converting a specific fuel-powered R/C buggy to electric.
Just because you don't need volumes of them is no reason not to make it beautiful. Even a simple clamp (this one is for mounting a cinema camera to a 25mm rod) is made with attention to detail.
Yes, a simple nut would have sufficed. This is a top nut for a pepper grinder that just needed to have a little more peronality to it, to match the unique nature of the body of the grinder.
