MDR3 PIVOT BRACKET - MDR3PB - $400 CDN

Designed to allow your MDR3 to mount to the back of a camera's top handle, the MDR3 Pivot Bracket not only makes for a compact camera package, but a clean one as well. The pivot mount is slightly off centre, so as to allow the motor cable to pass through the centre of the camera handle riser. Also, it has the ability to pivot, which is helpful not just for providing nearly limitless mounting options, but is a handy feature for those times when you need to move the MDR out of the way, but don't want to unmount it. The Kipp handle provides substantial grip to keep it in your preferred position, and threads into a stainless-steel threaded insert to prevent wear on the thread.

This bracket mounts to the camera handle with a captive 3/8" bolt that has a 3/16" hex drive, and is accompanied by a pair of hardened steel pins.

The bracket mounts to an MDR3 with either the 8-32 tapped holes in the MDR, or the 4-40 screws at the corners that hold the MDR cover in place. Although it is recommended to use the 8-32 holes, the addition of the 4-40 corner holes will allow this bracket to be mounted from the other side, if required.

*Use caution when mounting with the 4-40 screws, as this will require removing all of the screws that hold the MDR cover plate on, which may expose the internals of the MDR if not careful.

8-32 and 4-40 screws are included.

The bracket can be assembled in a number of methods. The stepped in mount in this configuration can make the difference between cables that fit, and those that don't, as well as allowing you to get the MDR that extra little bit closer to the camera handle.

As with a number of our products, the MDR3 Pivot Bracket is available in either black or red.
