This 18" Camera Plate is our robust and versatile solution to a number of the issues that we have encountered with camera plates over many years. A 304 stainless-steel insert with 3/8" tapped holes runs along the entirety of the plate, ensuring safe and secure mounting options for the plate, as well as for any accessories or weights that may be required for your setup.
A Dovetail and an underside relief has been incorporated into the plate to facilitate quick mounting to an OConnor head without the need for an interface plate.
In addition to the standard spring-loaded safety button, a button release lever has been added to allow for fast disassembly of your camera build when using bridge plates that obscure the release button, and would otherwise require tools to actuate. The plate is completely symmetrical, so there's never a concern over which way your camera gets put together, and accessories can easily be removed from either end.
Although the lever tucks cleanly away to prevent cable (or knuckle) snagging, it can still be easily operated with winter gloves on.
