Designed to mesh perfectly with an Arri top handle, The Rocket Surgery Solutions HXB handle blocks are a slight variant on a traditional favourite.
What sets our version apart is the use of a 3/8"-16 screw that uses a 3/16" allen key. Traditional Arri blocks require a 5mm allen key to intstall. As many of our products require a 3/16" allen key, these blocks can reduce the number of tools that you'll need to keep in your pocket for quick installation or removal.
Handle Extension Block Kit - HXBK - $875
Built for strength as well as aesthetic appeal, all HXB variants are held together with a combination of stainless steel M3 screws as well as hardened steel dowel pins. You can bolt on the heaviest accessory with confidence!
These blocks locate using tapered 3mm pins, which fit up snugly and eliminate any potential loosening through rotation or vibration.
Handle Extension Block 1 - HXB1 - $300
The shorter of the 2 straight block options, the HXB1 measures 1.36" / 34.5mm from flat end to flat end (add another .197" / 5mm for the locating pins).
Handle Extension Block 2 - HXB2 - $325
The longer of the 2 straight block options, the HXB2 measures 2.07" / 52.5mm from flat end to flat end (add another .197" / 5mm for the locating pins).
The HXB2 includes a tapped M4 hole for a tape hook (not included) on each side.
Handle Extension Curved Block - HXCB - $365
For when it's time to make a sharp turn, the HXCB adds a smooth 90 degree bend to the end of a handle. At only 1.8" / 46mm long, this HXCB is compact enough to allow additional accessories to be added without making the assembly too ungainly.
The 3/8"-16 mounting screw in all variants of the HXB is captive, and has been hollowed out to allow installation or removal of the block from either end.
