ROCKETSPHERE - RS - $1600 (no case) / $1750 (w/case) CDN

Let's be clear, this is not a new innovation. Ball mounts for cinema cameras have been around for a long time now, and there are many out there to choose from.
The Rocketsphere is the next iteration of a Canadian made classic from years back that is no longer on the market. We've made a few improvements to the design to add more holding strength and more range.
The Rocketsphere can hold a load of 50lbs more than 12 inches off centre. When all-out holding force is needed in your ball mount, choose the Rocketsphere!
The top mounting plate can be oriented a full 90 degrees from level.
Because the ball can roll freely in the cup when loose, that 90 degrees can be roll or tilt.
The challenge in achieving this was that the neck of the ball needed to be thinner to accommodate more range without adding to the overall height. A thinner neck meant less rigidity, but by adding a trio of hardened steel dowel pins, the rigidity has actually increased.

Counter-bored slots for the included stainless steel 3/8"-16 button head screws keep things tide and cables snag-free.

Thanks to PEAK FICTION INC. for sharing these pics of their Rocketsphere hard at work!

As well as the 3/8" through holes in the mounting plate, we have added 2 sets of tapped 3/8"-16 holes with stainless steel threaded inserts. Using inserts ensures that the threads will hold up to many years of hard use. All holes are 5" apart, centre-to-centre.

The Rocketsphere is available with or without a custom-lined Pelican 1300 carrying case.
