ALEXA 65 REAR SUPPORT BLOCK - A65RSB - $400 CDN

Arri Alexa Rear Support

The Arri Alexa 65 is a beast, there's no debate about that. One of the issues with a big, heavy camera build can be flex. When flex occurs between the camera body and the lens, distortion or even damage can happen.

The Alexa 65 Rear Support Block (A65RSB) seeks to eliminate this flex between the lens and camera body by adding a rear mounting point between the camera body and the dovetail plate. This bracket creates an ultra-rigid "box-section" connection that will dramatically improve the stiffness of an Alexa 65 build.

The A65RSB is designed to be added or removed without the use of tools once initially adjusted. The block fits over the dovetail, slides back into the rear camera tab, and clamps onto the plate with the lever knob. Rotate the camera knob counter-clockwise to then tighten the bracket to the camera.

The camera screw has been broached to accept a 3/16" allen key. Use the key to adjust the height of the screw that mates with the rear camera tab, and it will remain in that position.

The A65RSB was co-developed with AzurGrip, and is also available in limited edition "AzurGrip" blue.

A handy feature of the A65RSB is that it can be added to a fully built camera. Having a pivoting dovetail clamp allows the bracket to fit over the rail underneath the shoulder support of the camera body.
